What is a Bandana 

A bandanna, or bandana, is a large piece of cloth that is square or triangular in shape and typically brightly colored with some sort of pattern or design. Sometimes called a kerchief, it is generally worn on the head or around the neck. The name comes from the Hindi word bandhana, which means “to tie.”

Often made of cotton, Silk, Cotton Mixed fabric. The most common print is paisley, but there are also many different prints, designs, and patterns incorporated into them. Some are also made of different fabrics, including silk.

A bandanna is worn for both decorative and practical purposes. Practical uses for wearing one include working outdoors or in hot conditions. Worn around the neck, the cloth can be pulled up around the nose and mouth to lessen the inhalation of dust and debris. Worn around the head, it can prevent perspiration running into the eyes. Many athletes wear them for similar reasons.

Another practical use for a bandanna that also serves a fashionable purpose is as a headscarf for cancer patients. There are hundreds of catalogs specializing in bandannas and other fashionable headgear for chemotherapy patients. Many other people elect to wear one or similar headgear solely as a fashion statement. They can cover the entire head or be fashioned into a headband that simply wraps around the forehead and ties in back.

Bandanas come in a variety of sizes, but the standard dimensions are 22 inches by 22 inches. An oversized bandana is typically 27 inches .

Bandanas also come in smaller sizes. A child's bandana generally measures about 18 inches by 18 inches. A bandana intended to be used solely as a handkerchief and not worn is a 14-inch square. When worn, a bandana is typically folded in half to form a triangle. It is placed on the head, covering the entire crown with the corners on the sides and in the back. The sides ends are pulled tight towards the back and tied firmly over the back corner.

2) Design and Color Matching:

For Designs: Files like JPG,JPEG,PDF,AI,TIFF,PSD and etc are all good, the design should be 150 DPI at least and make sure when zoom in its actual size, it still can be clear, the designs size should be 2cm+ scarf size (length,width), like 90x90cm scarf, then the size should be 92x92cm

If you have specific need for the color, please offer the pantone color number ,we will try our best to match the colors you want ,but 100% matching can not be guaranteed as the color on screen is absolutely different from the color on silk scarf

3) Sample Approval and Mass Production:

Sample will be need before mass production, sample cost:25-45$/design, it’s depend on the scarf size, sample time: 10-15 days time may have few days delay if factory is busy

Normal mass production time is 20 - 25 days after sample approved, if large quantity is 5000pcs, then the time will need about 30-35 days

4) Printing Methods :

We offer two different ways to print your scarves, digital print and hand screen print (same printing way like Hermes)

Silk screens need to be created first to do screen printing, each set of color will need on screen, screen cost: 35$/one, if quantity can reach 100pcs and design is not complex, then the screen printing will be suggested

For digital printing, printing is like ink jet printing: what you scan is what we print on the silk. It is more suitable for scarves with complicated and abstract designs in which color tones can be too varied to be managed by screen print. Digital print sample cost: 25-45$/design, if the quantity is small, then the digital print will be better

5) Hemming and Tassel:

Hand rolling edge will make scarves be more elegant and beautiful, our hemming workers have more than 15 years experience to make sure high quality hand hemming for the custom silk scarf, and will be no extra cost

Machine stitch is common way to do the stitching. We provide zigzag machine hemming and straight machine hemming

Fringe: we also can provide fringe, the fringe will be about 1-2cm,according to your need
